 Galloway Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) is an electronic card catalog that allows students, parents, community members, and staff to search for items in the media center at Galloway.

  • Jackson Hinds Library System public library service to urban metropolitan Jackson and Hinds County, Mississippi. The system has 14 public libraries in Hinds County, so there is one located near you! Library cards are free to anyone with proof of residency in Hinds County. The libraries also provide wireless printing for laptops, e-books, downloadable audiobooks and digital magazine collections.   • SORA ​is the student reading app for OverDrive. SORA provides access to ebooks and audiobooks from your school and public library. To access the digital library, please select Jackson Public Schools as the school site and enter your 10-digit MISIS number if prompted for a barcode.  

Teacher Resources

  • The Teacher Resource Center provides teachers with a multitude of resources to assist with classroom projects and to upgrade technological and professional skills. The center is also open to the public as follows: Monday–Thursday from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday from  11:00 a.m.– 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

  • Smart Exchange - USA provides teachers with free resources and lessons for use on the SMART board.

SORA​ ​is the student reading app for OverDrive. SORA provides access to ebook and audiobooks from your school and public library.

AR Books - MyOn by Renaissance

MyOn Reader is a student-centered, personalized literacy environment that gives students access to more than 6,000 enhanced digital books and standards-aligned to news articles. Students may access MyOn Reader through their JPS Clever account. After reading ebooks, scholars may take AR quizzes during school hours.
